Summer 2026 for Kids
Re-Immagine It! … the Ashland Train with …Wednesday, July 15, 2026 10am-12noon, at the Ashland Museum, led by Judith McKinney. Creative thinkers in the 2nd-5th grades – this your chance to redesign the Ashland Train Station or a special house. Would you like to see three doors and a sliding board? All materials supplied for this art activity. The class is free, but reservations are required. Limited to 10 kiddos. Email the museum at ashlandmuseum@comcast.net to reserve a space. This will be offered to middle school students on Wednesday, July 22, 10am-12noon.

Most programs are geared for rising 1st through rising 6th graders.

Hooked on Fishing – June 20, 9-11 am at DeJarnette Park
Go fishing with a bamboo pole like Tom and HuckSecretariat for Kids – July 10, 9-11 am at the Museum
Kate Tweedy will share her family’s stories of Secretariat and Meadow Farm. Kids will measure their stride compared to Secretariat’s. We will walk over to the monument to learn fun facts about Secretariat. After returning to the museum, kids will work on horseshoe crafts.I Spy! – July 31, 9-11 am at the Museum
This is a walking, picture scavenger hunt. Kids will work in small teams to find and identify detail photos of Ashland landmarks.
