Woodland Cemetery Tours – Fall 2019

Join us for either of our Fall walking tours of Ashland's historic Woodland Cemetery. Woodland Cemetery was founded in 1862 as a burial site for soldiers. Friday, October 11, 6pm – the tour will include an expanded history about the Randolph-Macon College faculty and staff interred at Woodland Cemetery. Richmond Trail of Enslaved Africans Tour- Fall 2019

Kelly Merrill, Ph.D., Ashland Museum board member, faculty member at Randolph-Macon College and University of Richmond, and fellow with Initiatives of Change, will lead a tour of the Trail of Enslaved Africans. Join us on Saturday, November 23. We will meet at the Ashland Museum at 8:45 am and depart by car/van to Richmond at 9:00 am.
