  • Book-Leaving

    By James B. Upton, 2015. Soft cover, 269 pgs. This book presents the first comprehensive history of Woodland Cemetery in Ashland, Virginia. While providing a wonderful history of Ashland in its early years, Mr. Upton focuses on the origin of the cemetery and the Confederate soldiers buried there. Through comprehensive research, he has been able to provide the military history of 230 Confederate soldiers who were laid to rest in Woodland. His book makes an important contribution to the previously unknown history of a cemetery begun in 1862. $25.00 plus $5.00 shipping and handling.
